After passing through the Bantaki Tunnel, driving alongside Kinsenji Lake, and turning toward Route 176, an elegant brick building comes into view.
That’s the Italian restaurant “Nikiya”, where we visited this time.
We enjoyed the “Chef’s Recommended Course”\(^o^)/
Nikiya’s “Chef’s Recommended Course”

Assorted appetizers A little bit of many different things
Tomato-stewed eggplant, marinated scallops with cabbage dressed in anchovy, deep-fried shredded chili pepper and mortadella, smoked salmon with winter melon simmered in bouillon, komatsuna and spaghetti squash in sweet vinegar jelly… It was a plate full of all kinds of flavors(^O^)/

Nikiya’s Fresh Vegetables〜served with special miso〜
The style here is to dip the fresh vegetables the restaurant is so particular about into a special bagna cauda-style miso sauce.
The fresh vegetables really have a solid vegetable flavor! The slightly sweet sauce brings that out nicely(^ ^)
You can get refills of this sauce!
The long okra left quite an impression(*^_^*) Of course, it was delicious.

Stone Oven-Baked Natural Yeast Neapolitan Pizza Shrimp and zucchini cream sauce
It’s palm-sized and serves two(^O^)/
The dough had a nice firm texture, and the cream sauce and shrimp went together smoothly.

A Lightly Finished Dish Vegetable soup
With tomato and onion, it had a gentle vegetable flavorIt didn’t just feel “lightly finished”; it was properly delicious(^ ^)

Pasta ①Chilled Pasta with Grilled Eggplant and Prosciutto, Ginger Flavor
The airy, fragrant grilled eggplant and gentle ginger flavor paired really well with the thin pasta, the okra brought everything together nicely, and the prosciutto added a lovely accent!

Pasta ②Bacon and Mushroom Cream Sauce Fresh pasta fettuccine
As expected from fresh pasta, the chewy texture was incredible! The mushrooms, bacon, and cream sauce all came together wonderfully in your mouth(^ ^)

Main ①Awaodori Chicken Thigh Stewed in Tomato Sauce
It was simmered until incredibly tender! The fall-apart texture mixed with the sauce was de-li-cious(^O^)/
This definitely calls for wine!!But both of us held back that day(~_~;)

Main ②Sautéed Salmon with Yuzu Pepper and Olive Sauce
The salmon, with its crisped skin, was juicy, and eating it together with the vegetables made it even better!

Assorted Dessert and Café Drink
Cheesecake, fruit, red grape ice cream, café au lait
The sweet-and-tart ice cream, with a rich red grape flavor, was really nice(*^_^*)
Nikiya’s Lunch Menu

☆We visited on September 30, so this is the September menu. The October menu is below↓

or à la carte(^O^)/
They also had plenty of soft drinks and non-alcoholic drinks, of course, as well as cocktails, wine, and more!
Nikiya Restaurant Information
The exterior of the restaurant↓

The brick building catches your eye when you’re waiting at the traffic light. It’s made with bricks from Europe!
There is parking on the first floor of the building and before the traffic lightThe second parking lot is larger, but the first-floor parking area keeps you from getting wet in the rain and prevents the car interior from heating up too much in summer.
Inside the restaurant↓

The stairs leading up from the parking lot into the restaurant are lovely! They make you feel excited(^O^)/

The view from the window is nice! Too bad the weather wasn’t great^^;

The interior is bright and spacious.
And not only the food, but also the attention to the tableware really stood out!
The small plates, the plates for placing forks and knives, and of course the plates used for the dishes were all wonderful\(^o^)/
Apparently, they also have many private rooms(^O^)/
