Why not start playing wind band music again with us, the Nishinomiya City Wind Orchestra?The Nishinomiya City Wind Orchestra was formed in 1964.
We take part in various city events and the All Japan Band Competition. At the All Japan Band Competition national finals held on October 27, 2019 at Link Station Hall Aomori (Aomori City Cultural Hall) in Aomori Prefecture, we received the Silver Award.We hope you will come enjoy wind band music with us.

Audition format
Practical audition and a brief Q&A
Practical audition tasks
- Scale performance
- Free-choice piece (about 1 minute; an excerpt from a piece is also acceptable)
- For percussion, a simple rhythm test
Eligibility
Applicants must be residents, students (high school students are not eligible), or workers in the city, be 18 or older, and have at least 3 years of experience in wind band music and on the same instrument.

They appear to be recruiting for all parts, but they especially welcome players of the flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, tuba, and percussion.
