If you head north from Nishinomiya-Najio Station along Higashiyamadai Sakura-dori, you’ll find a plaza that really lives up to the name Sozo no Oka Nashion.
This article is brought to you by “chotto,” a smoothie shop that supports Nishitsu.

Hello from between the playground equipment.
Since it’s a plaza, saying “It’s spacious!” feels a little obvious, so I’ll introduce a few of the artworks instead.
Josep Riera i Aragó

AIRPLANE by Spanish artist “Josep Riera i Aragó”
If you look at this plaza from an aerial photo, it kind of does look like an airplane, maybe?
Art can be hard to understand (´^`;)

It sort of looks like some kind of animal, but if I stare at it too long, my eyes start spinning 🌀🌀🌀🌀

Art made by stacking stones (rock balancing)
Apparently there are even world championships for rock balancing!?

A slide with an angle of about 82°
I thought it was stairs and almost fell 💦

The stairways are so intricate, almost like playground equipment, so games of tag here must be a lot of fun.
The address is 1-4-102 Higashiyamadai, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
