I went to eat udon at Chōju Udon “Tsurukame” (^O^)／The name sounds so lucky! It feels like you could definitely live a long life!

Shrimp and Fried Mochi Bukkake Udon 880 yen (tax not included)
It comes with 4 shrimp tempura, 3 pieces of fried mochi, grated daikon, ginger, and lemon (^ ^)
Four shrimp is such a treat! It may look like a smaller portion, but with the fried mochi too, it’s more filling than it looks!
The udon noodles are thick and springy! They have a firm bite and great texture (^ ^)
The grated daikon, ginger, and lemon add a nice accent!
Egg Ankake Udon 680 yen (tax not included)
Fluffy egg in a thickened dashi broth! The ginger really comes through (^ ^)
The warm udon is also thick and has a nice firm bite (^O^)／
Ankake udon warms you right up (*^_^*)

Final Thoughts
Whenever I’m craving udon with seriously strong koshi, I go to “Tsurukame” (^ ^)
Their udon, made with carefully selected wheat and dashi, is the kind you want to drink up to the last drop. Pair it with fried items and it has great volume, leaving you feeling like you really had a satisfying meal (^O^)／
Apparently, if you go right when they open at 11:00, there’s already a line, so arriving 15 minutes early is a good idea. There are only three chairs, so you can sit while you wait.
