Osaka 58.9%
Kobe 35.7%

We also received lots of stories, so we’ll introduce a few of them.

Many people answered that it was because of work, because it’s close, or because it’s where they’re from.

The age group with the most Osaka fans was teenagers, at 75%(though that’s based on data from just 4 teens, so maybe take it with a grain of salt)

The age group with the most Kobe fans was people in their 40s, at around 43%.

The age group with the most Nishinomiya fans was people 60 and over, at 13%.

Also, more women than men were Team Osaka.

Osaka

If I’m going out anyway, I want to go somewhere more urban.

I used to be Team Kobe, but after I met my husband I became Team Osaka!

Kobe has a lot too, but Osaka has an even bigger selection of everything.

I’m from Osaka, so I know Osaka better than Kobe.

Even just Umeda has Hankyu, Hanshin, Daimaru, LUCUA, Yodobashi… I never get bored. It’s a shame I haven’t been to Osaka for about two years because of COVID.

There are just so many places to hang out. Umeda and Namba, of course, and in Tennoji the shopping facilities are all gathered in one area. There’s also Universal Studios Japan. Osaka is the best!

Kobe

It’s easy to tell which direction you’re going.

I went to school in Kobe from junior high through high school, so I’m more used to Kobe and feel more relaxed there.

Kobe is more compact, less crowded, and easier to spend time in! It also kind of feels like sightseeing.

Somehow, everything feels neatly compact. Just walking through the shopping streets from Sannomiya to Motomachi is fun, like taking a stroll.

It’s not so much “the city,” but I can find scenery, buildings, shopping spots, and things that are different from everyday life in Nishinomiya.

The sea and mountains are close by, so it feels like sightseeing.

It’s fun walking through the arcade that runs from Sannomiya to Kobe Station.

Sannomiya has a great selection of shoes. My child is still small, so we often go to the Anpanman Museum.

Because there are plenty of commercial facilities like Gardens, LaLaport, and Corowa.

Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi, Shukugawa, Koshien. There’s the sea and the mountains too, so I’m totally satisfied with Nishinomiya!

This was a Kobe-or-Osaka survey, but looking at the results, it felt more like Sannomiya or Umeda. Once in a while, going somewhere you don’t usually go might lead to a new discovery.

Most of the people who said they don’t leave Nishinomiya answered that they can get everything done at Gardens.

I went to Kyoto on my school trip! This is a classic school-trip thing, but one of my friends bought a wooden sword, and I remember thinking, “Oh no, you really went and did it…”

I went to Nagasaki. I don’t have any stories I can share(´^ω^｀)

We went on a 3-day, 2-night route: Nikko Toshogu Shrine → Oze → Tokyo (just passing through) → Mt. Fuji! Maybe it reflected the head teacher’s personal interests, but the destinations were way too serious, lol. And they packed way too many places into one school trip, lol.
