Cafe CARMELI’s Daily Lunch Near Kotoen Station [Nishitsu Gourmet]

Near Kotoen Station, I went to the cafe “CARMELI（カルメリ）” and had today’s lunch!
Amazingly, there were three things I tried for the very first time〜😳💦

“CARMELI”’s “Today’s Lunch”

“Today’s Lunch” 1,000 yen（tax included）

There were two lunch options, and I went with the “Simmered Atsuage, Sweet Potato, and Seri with Miso Flavor”!

First came the salad and a small side dish.

The salad had leaves called ice plant in it!
It was my first time trying it, and it had this fun poppy, crunchy texture. So good😋

The small side dish was “Shungiku and Nobiru with Vinegared Miso”.
Wait, nobiru😳, that wild plant?
This was also my first time! It was kind of like garlic chives, but without the strong smell〜

It grows around here as a wild plant, but of course, this one was cultivated as a vegetable🙆

Here’s the main dish, “Simmered Atsuage, Sweet Potato, and Seri”.
The flavor was light, but it had soaked in nicely〜.
It was a cold day, so it really warmed me up and felt comforting😊

Actually, it was my first time having seri, too! Though maybe I’ve eaten it before thinking it was mitsuba…😅
At this age, getting to encounter three foods I’ve never eaten before in a single day makes me so happy〜✌😂

After the meal came a drink and dessert.
This jiggly bavarois? Milk jelly? had a gentle, mild flavor too!

The interior is a cute cafe with a slightly retro feel.

I sat in the best seat by the window🙌
On the other side, there are sofa seats💁

From the window, a big cherry tree at the neighboring house was right at eye level🌸
It looked so nice😊
