What is the bento shop “Awajiya”?
It’s a long-established ekiben shop from Kobe, and it’s super famous! You’ll find it at pretty much every major station!
The pot-shaped container from their “Hippari Tako Meshi” is so well known that it feels like every household probably has one😂

Apparently they come in all kinds of colors now😳↓ I had no idea!
There are also pink Hello Kitty pots, gold ones, silver ones, and more… lol
Makes you want to collect them! (What would you even use them for😂!?)

With a lid, it seems like you could use the container for all kinds of things🙆
Awajiya has lots of elaborate and delicious-looking bentos, including the “JR Freight Container Bento: Kobe Sukiyaki Edition”, which recently went viral on Twitter!
It looks like if you order by the morning three days in advance, you can pick up your bento at the store!

There’s been a steady stream of news about new shops at Gardens, and now a bento shop is coming to Hankyu too! Yay🙌
I definitely want to try it as soon as it opens. lol
