Welcome to our “Nishi2 Gourmet in Ebista” series, where we pick something from the top 5 popular menu items at restaurants in Ebista and turn it into a food article.
This time, we visited the wine shop “Cave de Terre” in Street Kitchen on the 1st floor of Ebista.

The Top 5 at “Wine Shop Cave de Terre”
I’m so curious what the top 5 popular items at a wine shop are like~🤗🤗🤗
This shop has not only wine, but also prepared foods, jarred products, and all kinds of items that make you feel like you’re browsing a shop overseas just by looking around~
What will they be🙄? I’m excited〜♪

It’s right by the entrance, on the far east side of Street Kitchen♪
It looks especially stylish, almost enough to make you feel a little intimidated~
But don’t worry.
The staff are super friendly, and if there’s anything you don’t understand, they’ll happily explain it to you~😃
Now, here are the top 5 popular menu items at Wine Shop Cave de Terre.
Daily pâté (refrigerated case)
La Terre Box 12-bottle wine set (wine set stacked on the food hall side)
Blueberry confiture and other varieties (jarred items on the shelves)
Pork rillettes and other varieties (jarred items on the shelves)
Metamorphosis Muscat Ottonel & Tamaioasa Romaneasca (wine on the wine shelves)
Oh no! I want to eat and drink so many things~!!
But since I can’t try everything,🎊 I decided to mainly buy the No. 1 item~
Cave de Terre’s “Daily Pâté”

Pâté de Campagne 500 yen (tax included)

Seasonal Vegetable Pickles 420 yen (tax included)

Both are vacuum-packed♪
Wait, it’s a wine shop, but you’re not buying wine??👂

Of course I bought some~!!!
Wine 1,320 yen
Region: A white wine from Rheinhessen, Germany~
Grape variety: Pinot Noir

I plated everything up, and it turned out looking lovely~😊♪

Pickles with an amazing variety of vegetables, in a wine vinegar style
The vegetables aren’t cooked, so they have a great bite and that crunchy texture is irresistible~
The larger cuts are another nice point
They’re seasoned with wine vinegar and white wine, so they don’t have that sharp sting you sometimes get from Japanese vinegar,
making them super easy to eat😀

Apparently, this pâté de campagne is made by the wine shop’s dedicated chef, who vacuum-packs the restaurant-quality flavor just as it is~!!
Pâté de campagne is a French dish made with pork and chicken liver😀
Even people who aren’t usually fond of chicken liver might be able to enjoy this pâté~
It’s light and has no unpleasant smell at all~!!
I’m also happy that it pairs so well with wine~

If you’re someone who thinks, “I don’t really know much about wine…” no worries.
Cave de Terre has a sommelier, so feel free to ask for advice!
- What kind of dish you want to pair it with
- Your wine preferences, such as acidity or minerality
- If you want to drink wine from a certain country
- When and in what kind of setting you want to drink it
- And don’t forget to mention your budget in advance for peace of mind
And so on…
Since there’s a wine professional right there, it might be fun to ask lots of questions,
try some wines, and find one you like~
By the way, for the wine I bought this time, I asked for one that was
good with food, not acidic, and had a honey-like feel~😀
It had a fruity aroma and a slightly sweet feel, and it was really nice😊
Inside Cave de Terre

There are lots of Western-style prepared foods that go well with wine

Nishinomiya Honey
This rare raw honey is apparently made in the best possible environment for honeybees, in fields at an elevation of 250 meters in Funasaka, Nishinomiya~💛

This was apparently their best-selling sparkling wine of 2021!!

They carry more than 1,000 kinds of wine over the course of a year~
