We visited “Kaachan Gyoza,” a spot for freshly grilled gyoza and bento that just opened on November 14 in Tsuto Ogacho.
“Kaachan Gyoza” is a Nishi2 partner shop!
Here it is↓

At first glance, you might think, “Is this a house?!” but the tasteful “Kaachan Gyoza” sign really catches your eye.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 7-3 Tsuto Ogacho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.
What We Bought at “Kaachan Gyoza”
We ordered gyoza and two bento boxes!

Gyoza 380 yen (tax included)
And get this: on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, the gyoza goes from 380 yen to 280 yen. That’s 100 yen off!!

Just look at that sear. The wrappers are so chewy and springy!

If you like a little heat, you absolutely have to add the chili chive condiment.
Gyoza Bento(fried gyoza) 600 yen (tax included)
For the gyoza, you can choose grilled or fried. And it even comes with miso soup! Apparently, some days it’s pork miso soup instead
Plus, extra rice is free!

Plump fried gyoza! They’re crisp, crunchy, and packed with filling.

The chili chive condiment is a little different from the one for the grilled gyoza, (maybe it has some sauce in it?). At first it tastes sweet?! Then right away it turns spicy, spicy, spicy, making it perfect for changing up the flavor of the gyoza.

Can you tell what this potato salad is? It’s curry flavored. A home-style potato salad with ham and curry flavor, and I absolutely love it. Seriously, I love it. You know what I mean? lol

The spinach and bean sprout ohitashi are soaked with dashi and have a nice sesame oil aroma. Perfect as a little palate cleanser.

The miso soup that day had fu, wakame, and green onions! Such comforting ingredients.

Special Nori Bento(fried gyoza) 760 yen (tax included)
It’s seriously gorgeous.
Gyoza, dashimaki tamago, karaage, fried white fish, chikuwa isobe-age, curry potato salad, spinach ohitashi, pickles, and miso soup!
This is the one for anyone who wants a little bit of everything.

The fried white fish has real thickness and is incredibly satisfying. The sauce is creamy too.

Just the right amount of ginger flavor. This is the kind of thing that makes the rice disappear fast.

The hidden star was actually the rice with nori and okaka. It’s delicious all on its own, so this really feels like a deluxe set.

The dashimaki was jiggly, well seasoned, and totally satisfying.

And of course, no nori bento is complete without chikuwa isobe-age. Great flavor here too!
Menu and Shop Introduction

Their daily bento lineup is impressive, and it seems they try not to repeat the same menu for a whole month. That’s exciting.
The daily bento is announced every week in the “News from Nishi2 Partners” section of “This Week in Nishinomiya,” updated every Friday!

The order counter is right inside the entrance.

They even have something called Dad’s Evening Drink Set. It changes daily and costs 500 yen. Daily
