It looks like 探偵ナイトスクープ (Knight Scoop) is asking viewers to vote for its “Best VTR(the best episode broadcast this year).”
It looks like they’ll be airing a year-end special called 探偵ナイトスクープ Year-End Fan Appreciation Festival 2024, and they’re currently taking votes for “Best VTR.”

The story we covered in Nishitsu’s Miyakko Detective series was featured on 探偵ナイトスクープ in May. It was Detective Ishida Yasushi’s “The Vanished Jizo Statue.”

Thanks to the cooperation of everyone in Nishinomiya and the efforts of 探偵ナイトスクープ, a miracle happened here in Nishinomiya.

We want to share this story, filled with love for Nishinomiya, with the whole country!

Since we have the chance, here’s a digest of our earlier article about what happened behind the scenes during the 探偵ナイトスクープ shoot.
【How the Request Started】The Jizo Statue Disappeared?!
Nishitsu Detective received this request from a reader named peke.
The Jizo statue that used to be along the river in Tsuto Sumiecho is gone.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is around 10 Tsuto Sumiecho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

All that was left were the base and the staff… The disappearance of this beloved local Jizo statue came as a huge shock to residents.
After That
We then received one promising piece of testimony from Miyakko Detective “Taron”: “The Jizo statue had fallen into the river.”

As the investigation continued, Nishitsu received a phone call from Detective Ishida Yasushi of none other than “探偵ナイトスクープ.”

“My name is Ishida Yasushi, and I’m a detective on the Asahi Broadcasting program 探偵ナイトスクープ.”
<Talk about the Jizo statue — omitted>
“I’m at the site now, and I’d like to hear the details from Taron.”
Right after that, we quickly turned it into this article↓

Since it would have been a bit much if a crowd showed up, we wrote the article while keeping 探偵ナイトスクープ completely under wraps.

It was raining that day.
