It appears they will be closing as of January 31 (Sat).
After that, they are planning to open a new shop in a different location, and the new place is currently being renovated.
They say they’re still considering what form the shop will take, but their post shares their continued passion for pursuing yamaimo dishes.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 1-35-B Ikebirakicho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo, Kida Building 1F.

Across the street, you can see the sign for Maruya Hanten, which has closed.

If you go this way, you’ll find a building with places like RYU-RYU and Torikizoku, as well as ENEOS, and it leads out to National Route 43. It’s by Mukogawa Women’s University.

In the opposite direction, there’s a 7-Eleven, HASHIGO bakery works, the Komatsu police box, and it leads out to the old national highway. It’s by Gusto.

Nishi2 previously featured the ramen at 鳴尾山芋研究所 FLAT BUSH in a food article. It was a new kind of ramen, with chewy, thick noodles coated well in a Japanese-style dashi soup and grated yam.
“鳴尾山芋研究所 FLAT BUSH” has been operating for about 12 years while exploring different forms of yamaimo cuisine. It’s a relief that this isn’t a permanent closure but rather a move to a new shop, though fans will probably still feel a little sad. It would be great if the next shop is in Nishinomiya too. The current shop will be open until 1/31 (Sat).
*Fukuchan @ Nishi2 SP, thank you for the information!!
