Today is election day〜

First, just remember these 3 things↓
②You’ll vote twice this time(mayoral election + city council by-election)
③Today, you don’t “write a name”; you mark a “○”
You’ll mark a ○ above the name of the person you want to vote for, like this:
Quoted from Elections Using Symbol-Style Voting|Nishinomiya City Website

※Early voting(through yesterday)used the method of writing a name, but today’s same-day voting uses the symbol-style method. The same method was used in the 2022 mayoral election

What should I bring?
If you have your voter card, bring it with you to make things smoother. Honestly, it’s okay even if you don’t have it. Just tell the staff at the polling place, “I don’t have my voter card.”
※ID is not required, but having one may make confirmation quicker in some cases
Can I bring my child?
Yes, you can. Children under 18 may enter the polling place with you.
What if I need someone to accompany me?
If you need assistance, you may enter together with a companion. Please tell the staff at the polling place.
From Entering the Polling Place to Leaving
This is the most important part this time〜

①Enter the polling place
②Hand over your voter card at reception
(If you don’t have it, just say, “I don’t have my voter card”)
③Once they confirm your information, you’ll receive a white ballot
→ This is for the mayoral election
④Go to the voting booth. The candidates’ names are printed on the ballot, so mark a “○” in the box above the person you want to vote for
→ You don’t write a name! Just mark a ○!
⑤Put it in the ballot box(probably a silver box)
⑥ Next, you’ll receive a cream-colored ballot
→ This is for the city council by-election
⑦ Mark a “○” the same way and put it in the ballot box
⑧ You’re done! Thanks for voting〜
