It looks like @Nishitsu’s very own GPS Runner Naoki Shimizu is going to run 3,700 km across the Japanese archipelago!!
Here it is↓

As the culmination of 10 years of experience built up as a GPS runner, he’s launching the “Tsunagare JAPAN! Project”🏃
The project is set to start next year, in early April 2025.
Here’s the route↓

Reference: Google Maps
He’ll run a GPS drawing in the shape of a runner, all in one continuous line〜〜🏃
The distance is 3,700 km(about the distance from the northernmost tip of Hokkaido to the southern end of Okinawa). Taking about 120 days, that means basically running a full marathon every day—that’s just wild〜〜😂
The runner’s right hand is shaped like the Noto Peninsula, symbolizing Japan continuing to run together🇯🇵.

The start will be at the Akamon Gate of Nishinomiya Shrine, the very place where Sensei first came up with the idea of GPS running.
After enduring grueling ups and downs equivalent to climbing Mount Everest four times, he’ll return to Akamon Gate again after about 120 days〜!
A crowdfunding campaign is also planned for next March, and part of the proceeds will be used to cover activity costs for Noto recovery support volunteer work😊
Lastly
Sensei @ Nishitsu has accomplished incredible feats through all kinds of challenges, from running all the way around Taiwan to creating a 4,600 km alpaca GPS drawing in Peru, South America. He’s appearing on TV more and more too, and at this point he’s basically Sensei of the world. Nishinomiya of the world!! We hope this new project helps bring energy to all of Japan, starting right here from Nishinomiya〜!😆👏
By the way, Sensei @ Nishitsu will be giving a talk tomorrow, Saturday, December 14, at Kwansei Gakuin University’s Nishinomiya Seiwa Campus, so be sure to check it out〜
