Nishinomiya Parenting Magazine tomoni is created by citizen volunteers raising children in Nishinomiya, under the motto: “Let’s support parenting as a whole community!” By placing the magazine in public facilities that families before and after childbirth are sure to visit, such as health centers, parenting plazas, city hall, and maternity clinics, it is part of an initiative to prevent isolated parenting.
And this time, amazingly, the famous Henri Charpentier has sponsored the project by providing snacks!!

It’s one of those sweets that’s so familiar, just thinking about it brings back the aroma of almonds and butter.
This time, in addition to financiers, they’ll also be giving away the summer-only sweet Terrine de Fruits!
Terrine de Fruits is filled with plenty of juicy fruit inside sparkling jelly. It has been a popular item before, but this season it is made without alcohol, with the hope that everyone from families with small children to older adults can enjoy it. How to Receive the Gift
Fill out the reader survey form on the back of Nishinomiya Parenting Magazine tomoni, then pick up your gift at a little cafe inside “Little House,” operated by the NPO a little, located a two-minute walk from Nishinomiya Hankyu Gardens by Hankyu Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station. Be sure to stop by. (They may also ask for your cooperation, such as taking a photo for posting when you receive the gift, so please help out if you can.)

What Is Little House?
It opened about two years ago as a cafe, with the hope of creating a place where anyone can safely talk about themselves and their honest feelings within the community. Various events and casual chat gatherings are held frequently, so you might find one that interests you.
The other day, they also held a chat gathering while enjoying Henri Charpentier sweets.

The theme was “partnership.”
“Partnership” is one of the top three concerns for people raising children, but have you ever really talked about it in depth?
And it’s not often that you get to hear about other families, is it?
In the workshop, participants compared how much they understand their partner, and how much they feel understood by their partner, to water in a cup. They wrote it down on paper, then talked about the reasons behind the amount of water they chose, which apparently made it very easy to share.
On this day, the participants ranged widely from their 20s to their 60s, and there were surprisingly many different forms of partnership. Of course, there were also many points people could relate to. Since the topic was very personal, we can’t go into too much detail, but…
Apparently, many people said they expect a level of understanding from their partner that they don’t expect from friends.
It’s only natural to strongly want your family to understand you, but that can be difficult.
As everyone talked through questions like, “How can we put ourselves in the other person’s shoes and communicate in a way that’s easier for them to understand?” some good ideas seemed to emerge.
Talking really is important.
