I went to check whether the so-called “Hundred-Step Stairs” in front of Ichinishi really have 100 steps (*^^)v

I’ll try climbing while counting them !(^^)!

The kobanomitsuba tsutsuji azaleas are blooming too (*^^)v

Almost at the top! I’ll keep climbing and make sure I don’t lose count… (*^^)v

I finally made it to the top !(^^)!
Time for the big reveal! It was just short of 100 steps: 91 steps!!
Since I had been looking down and counting each step one by one,
when I turned around, there were stairs on the other side too ^^; Are these also “Hundred-Step Stairs”??????

I went all the way back down again, and there was another way up on the right side.

This is what it looks like from below… this one seems more likely to have 100 steps ^^;
But it looked like a private road, so I enlarged the photo as much as I could, added that count to what I could see from above, and amazingly, this side had about 120 steps, more than 100 !(^^)!
If you add them together and divide by two, there are two 100-step stairways (^^ゞ

Along the Hundred-Step Stairs, there’s a storage shed for the Takakuracho neighborhood association,

and a security camera has been installed too (it has the number 155, installed by Nishinomiya City). By counting the stairs, I also found out that Takakuracho is a well-organized and safe neighborhood (*^^)v
Back when Nishinomiya City used a comprehensive selection system for high school admissions, it seems many students used these stairs on their way to school.
