I went to “Oriental Bakery Hanshin Sales”, located in an area lined with factories in Nishinomiyahama,
to buy some cheap and delicious bread sold directly from the factory (*^^)v
Have you seen this truck before?
Apparently, Oriental Bakery supplies hotels, cafes, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and more, with over 18,000 business partners nationwide.
They have the No. 1 wholesale market share in the Kansai area!
Come to think of it, I’ve seen one parked in front of a nearby nursery school(^^)
A sign that they’re open in the planting area in front of the company?!
The shop entrance was tucked away behind a parked truck.
The blackboard had introductions to the bread and other notes written on it ← handwritten! I bet they rewrite it every day!(^^)!
The shelves were packed with bread, and easy-to-understand pop signs were displayed alongside them(^^)v
All the products lined up were individually wrapped, so you can shop with peace of mind these days!(^^)!
Since it was evening, there were a little fewer items left, but please look at the prices(^^)v That big bread in the front! It’s only ￥90 including tax!
Overall, the prices are very budget-friendly!
I saw “sold out” written for the apple pie… I wanted to try it, and then at the entrance↓
There was a sweets corner, and the sweet set was ￥520 including tax, while cookies were ￥110 including tax, so I bought the set without hesitation(#^.^#)
The photo is a little cut off, but apparently when it rains, everything is 15% off as a rainy day service! Applies to purchases totaling ￥100 or more; some items are excluded from the discount
The bread I bought↑ was all ￥93 before tax.
I wanted to eat them all, but I only had the “Cheese Mocchi”!(^^)!The chewy dough was filled with plenty of cheese, and the texture and flavor of the black sesame added a nice accent. It was delicious(*^^)v
Since they also supply bread to hospitals, they have reduced-salt and salt-free bread rolls and sliced bread ← This could be good for people on a salt-restricted diet(^^♪
It seems you can reserve these from two days in advance, starting from just one slice or one piece, which is great for those who need them.
A friend of mine came to buy some for her mother after she was discharged from the hospital(^^♪

Final Thoughts
I had always thought of Nishinomiya’s waterfront as mostly factories, but I was able to buy cheap and delicious bread there! It’s becoming one of our usual keywords, but “cheap and delicious” is really important!
They also sold sliced bread and sandwiches, though they’re not shown in the photos(*^^)v
Oh, and apparently PayPay can also be used at the shop. By car, it’s just after crossing Nishinomiya Ohashi Bridge, and by Hanshin Bus, it’s very close to the “Nishinomiyahama Higashi Daiichi” bus stop.
There was also alcohol sanitizer at the entrance, and the checkout area had measures in place to help prevent infection!(^^)!
Why not stop by sometime? (^_^)v Don’t forget to wear a mask!
