Vietnamese Thai and Asian Grocery Store “TRUONG THINH MART” Opens in Satonakacho

A Vietnamese, Thai, and Asian grocery specialty store called “TRUONG THINH MART (チューンティンマート)” has opened in Sato Nakamachi 3-chome.

The address is 3-3-11 Sato Nakamachi, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture. This location used to be the barbershop “なか.”

Area Around チューンティンマート

Across the street is the yakitori bar “花.”

If you go this way, you’ll find Ifu, SANAKA, and other places, and it leads out to the old national highway.

In the opposite direction, there’s Cycle Shop Rintaro, the izakaya “楽が来,” and more.

A reader sent us information about some foods from this shop that they got hooked on, so we’ll introduce them here.

The inside had a chocolate caramel flavor, with quite a strong mint taste.

The boxed crackers called “AFC” were addictively good!

This one isn’t as intense as Hi-Chew, and it’s tasty.

The banana leaves are super cheap. For some reason, the leaves smell like delicious pickles. Fruity nukazuke??

We wrapped curry in ours.

In Closing

It seems there are similar shops in Amagasaki as well. Looking at the shop’s Facebook page, they had lots of unusual foods that seem hard to find in Japan. Why not stop by sometime if you’re passing through the area?
