I got takeout from karaage specialty shop “最鳥,” which opened on Wednesday, April 27.
What I bought at “最鳥”
I bought three pieces each of Soy Sauce Karaage and Umashio Karaage.
Soy Sauce Karaage 139 yen each (tax included)
The Soy Sauce Karaage is made with chicken thigh.
The aroma and flavor of the secret soy sauce marinade, blended with Jokyu soy sauce, aren’t too overpowering, and it feels like something you could get hooked on.
It’s juicy with a thin coating, so it isn’t greasy and is easy to eat♪
Umashio Karaage 139 yen each (tax included)
The Umashio Karaage is made with chicken breast.
Each piece is big (bigger than you might expect😲), so it’s very filling.
It had a satisfyingly springy texture, and the saltiness was just right with a clean, refreshing taste.
No worries even if it gets cold!
- Heat it in the microwave (600W) for about 30 seconds
- Lightly crumple and spread out some aluminum foil, then place it on the toaster tray
- Put the karaage on top and heat for about 3 minutes, and it’s done!
