This time, we’re introducing this Nordic-style cottage home surrounded by greenery! Since you can enjoy the outdoors in your own private space, let’s take a look right away~!

This home has an eye-catching navy exterior with white lattice windows, and its biggest highlight is the very spacious outdoor area! It even has a garage with plenty of room to park two standard cars, and next to it is a stone-paved approach leading to the entrance.
At the back of the garage is that huuuugewood deck 
from the beginning. Thanks to trees like Japanese white oak, flowering dogwood, and Hirado azalea that keep their green leaves even in winter, the view from passersby is blocked. It’s a private, open-feeling space where you can even enjoy a bit of forest bathing!
And when you step inside the entrance, you’ll find a 5.1-tatami doma earthen-floor space with an atrium, connected to the living room by glass doors. The excitement starts right from the entrance~

It’s in Amagasaki City, right next to Nishinomiya! It’s only about 1 kilometer in a straight line from the Mukogawa River♪

Now then, let’s take a close look at this home, starting from the first floor~
The First Floor Is Incredible
First, let’s check the first-floor layout👀
So, when you open the front door, the doma stretches out right in front of you. Above it is a high ceiling with an atrium, creating a bright space filled with light pouring in from the skylight 
The doma is gently connected to the living room by glass doors, so even when family members are in the living room or kitchen, you can still see what’s going on and feel at ease. It’s a relaxed space where you can fully enjoy doma time.

A father and child can maintain their favorite bicycles or do some DIY~♪
You can grow herbs in an indoor garden and use them for cooking!
Set up a ball pit and it instantly turns into an indoor playground♪ Plus, since you can bring a stroller right into the house, outings with a baby become so much smoother!
There are so many other possibilities too, like placing a surfboard here or displaying fishing rods and lures. The ways to use the doma are endless! You could also let kids play here with their outdoor toys.
The doma comes equipped with a shoe cabinet that can store around 50 pairs of shoes. The top of the shoe cabinet can be used for greenery, or as a display shelf for favorite photos and artwork.
On top of that, the shoe cabinet uses the moisture-controlling material “Sarariart”, which absorbs humidity and odors to keep the entrance air fresh.
To begin with, homes by Nomura Komuten feature breathable “shikkui plaster walls”.
They absorb and break down the “four major bad odors,” including ammonia, which causes pet and food waste smells. And because odors that have been absorbed are hardly released again, they’re excellent at reducing everyday household smells.

What is shikkui plaster?
★It is expected to have antibacterial properties, helping you stay comfortable even during the damp rainy season.
★Because it is made from natural materials, it is gentle on the body!! Recommended for those concerned about “sick house syndrome” or allergies.
★It has humidity-control effects, so you can stay fresh and comfortable!!
★The main component of shikkui plaster is inorganic and nonflammable, so it does not produce harmful gases or vapors when burned. That means it is fire-resistant!! And durable too!!
★It is a material that makes static electricity less likely to occur and helps prevent dust and house dust from sticking, so it is resistant to dirt and easy to clean!
★Since it is applied by hand, it can be textured with a trowel, polished, or used to create unique shadows and depth… all kinds of expressions are possible. It can create a beautiful texture that vinyl wallpaper simply cannot imitate.
★It uses Italian-made shikkui plaster that is also used in World Heritage sites (and incredibly, Nomura Komuten is the only company in Japan that handles it!)
