I found a cloisonne workshop near Hankyu Shukugawa Station called “アンクル・ゼット” (Uncle Z), so I stopped in for a quick look.

Exterior of “アンクル・ゼット”
“アンクル・ゼット” is located half underground.

The sign says it’s OK to peek in, sneak a look, or just browse casually, so it feels easy to step inside.

What is cloisonne?
Cloisonne is a type of metal craft and one of Japan’s traditional craft techniques. It is a fired craft made with a metal base.
It is made by placing various colored glass-like enamels, called glazes, onto metal such as copper or silver plates, then firing them at high temperatures of around 800℃.
Through firing, the glaze melts and forms a glassy layer, creating a vivid, glossy finish. Source
They showed me some cloisonne pieces

So colorful and absolutely beautiful!!
They had lots of very unique items, including accessories and obi clasps.
It looks like they also sell online. Here
Cloisonne Class
It seems they hold classes every Saturday, so if you’re interested, why not contact them?
During summer vacation, many parents and children apparently join together.
