Demolition work is currently underway at the former sites of 酒のやまや and 業務スーパー in Imazu Shamae-cho, and it looks like a drugstore called “Cosmos” is going to be built there.

It will apparently be a two-story building. That feels pretty rare for a drugstore~

Ozeki is diagonally across the street.
If you go this way, you’ll find Lawson, Imazu Onsen, and then National Route 43. It’s by the Nishinomiya Interchange.
If you go in the opposite direction, you’ll find the relocated Gyomu Super, and it leads out to Rinko Line. That’s the area where Konan and Kaiten Sushi Rikimaru are located.
What is the “Cosmos” drugstore?

Cosmos is a discount drugstore chain with 1,500 stores across Japan, mainly in Kyushu. There are currently no stores in Nishinomiya City, so the one opening in Imazu Shamae-cho looks like it will be the first. Nearby locations include Minami Mukonoso in Amagasaki and one near the Amagasaki Boat Race Stadium.

During sales, it looks like eggs can go down to 158 yen, and 2L barley tea can be sold for 108 yen, so prices seem to get pretty low~!
By the way, most Cosmos stores apparently use cash payment. Some locations do accept cashless payments, but we wonder how it’ll be at this new store🤔

This area didn’t have many drugstores, so this opening might be welcome news. With Gyomu Super and Konan nearby too, it looks like the area will become even more convenient~😄
