Japan’s top women’s futsal team has taken over Nishinomiya City Hall.

This is inside City Hall.

Wait. Miyakko Ramen?!

Miyakko Ramen! These are members of Nishinomiya’s women’s futsal team, sponsored by Miyakko Ramen: “SWH Nishinomiya”! Kaisei Hospital in Nishinomiya is also one of their sponsors.
Their championship celebration event is starting↓

This time, SWH Nishinomiya achieved their long-awaited first league championship last December, and visited Nishinomiya City Hall on January 22 for a courtesy call.
By the way,

On January 10, they also went to meet Hyogo Governor Saito, who had drawn an unbelievably huge crowd during his campaign speech at Gardens.

The two people standing on either side of Mayor Ishii in the center came as team members: captain Naho Ogawa (おがわ なお) on the left, and player Asusa Tsukamoto (つかもと あすさ) on the right.

Mikio Sugiyama of the Nishinomiya Football Association mentioned that in futsal, “sometimes people come alone at night and form teams on the spot to enjoy playing together.”

Then the mayor suggested, “Huh, wouldn’t it be interesting to turn that into a place for meeting people?”

Tsukamoto said, “That actually exists. It’s called Sarucon, haha.”

The mayor got really into it too, saying, “Sarucon sounds fun! It’s the biggest issue facing our country, after all,” and he seemed a little excited, which was pretty funny, haha. I’d love for the whole city of Nishinomiya to put on a Sarucon event. Wonder where would be a good place.

After that, there was a handshake scene between Tsukamoto and the mayor.

This trophy. It’s just casually sitting between them, but it’s seriously heavy, haha.

The moment the mayor held it, he said, “This is heavy!” It really is seriously heavy.

Mr. Tanaka, head of the Culture and Sports Department, also went, “Whoa, heavy!”

Since we were there, the idea was to let various departments at City Hall hold the weight of the championship.

They had staff from the Culture and Sports Division hold it too.

They were so happy!

All right, next let’s try the gold medal too.

Here we goooo

So happy

They’re really happy about the medal
Next up…
