On May 4, it seems there were a huge number of herons in the trees around Katahoko Pond, where Shukugawa Community Center is located.

Apparently there were a ton of them in this tree, and when you passed nearby, there was an incredible “garu-garu” and “gaa-gaa” noise, along with a strong unpleasant smell.
After looking into it, it seems there’s a colony of white herons in the pine trees, and apparently the droppings damage used to be terrible. Even so, they say it’s gotten better now that the colony has moved. You really wish they’d do their business somewhere that doesn’t need cleaning, don’t you?
