The long-closed cafe “美苑” in the New Futaba Sun Mall Shopping Street in Murokawa-cho has closed permanently.
(Information provided by Saito-san and Kaeitsu @ Nishitsu SP)

A notice looking for a new tenant was posted at the storefront.

This was the notice posted around February this year. Did the shop end up closing while it was still temporarily closed?
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 1-23 Murokawa-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
Area around “喫茶 美苑”

Across the street are Michi Osteopathic Clinic, LIFE CARE SUPPORT, and other places.

If you go this way, you’ll find Yakiimo/Kanmidokoro Imosho, Bicycle Repair Center Shukugawa Shop, Hokkahoka Bento Piyopiyo, and other shops, leading toward Shukugawa Station.

If you go in the opposite direction, you’ll find Curry Kitchen Fukumimi, Nishinomiya Watanabe Hospital, and more, leading toward Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi.

“美苑” was previously featured in a Nishitsu food article. We had the fried shrimp set meal there.
Lastly

It was an old-fashioned retro cafe that had been around for more than 50 years, with daily service lunches for 700 yen. The portions were generous, and it seemed to be quite popular. The food had a simple, comforting taste, and it was also one of those rare places these days where smoking was allowed. It’s truly sad to think we can’t go there anymore.
※Thank you to Saito-san and Kaeitsu @ Nishitsu SP for the information!!
