The Fire Bureau and the Nishinomiya City Fire Brigade are looking for “child firefighters” to ride in fire engines and take part in the parade at the Fire Department New Year’s Parade, which will be held on Sunday, January 12 next year.

There will also be photo sessions with a mini fire engine, making it a wonderful experience for children.

Eligibility and how to apply
Eligibility: Elementary school students (children who live in or attend school in the city)
Capacity: Around 100 children (if there are many applicants, participants will apparently be chosen by lottery)
