Did you see the moon the other day? We received some lovely photos of the moon over Nishinomiya from Nishitsu reader Tecchan.

The moon is hard to photograph with a smartphone, but this was taken around 5:00 on October 7. The photo was taken from Imazuhama toward Mt. Rokko(Imazu Lighthouse). The huge ship on the river is apparently from JFE Steel.

A shot of the Bayshore Route from Hamakoshien Sports Park (along the embankment by Ship Park).

This time of day might actually be a bit of a hidden gem, or at least a pretty rare sight. Moonset, maybe? The Mid-Autumn Moon is said to have been introduced from China during the Heian period. Lately, there’s also been that somewhat mysterious “interstellar object” called 3I/ATLAS(Comet ATLAS), which came from a planetary system outside our solar system. Celestial events might be the hot topic this year!
