I bought hanami dango from the Japanese sweets shop “あおやま菓匠” near Koroen Station.
Hanami Dango from “あおやま菓匠”
Hanami dango: 150 yen each
It was such a beautiful day that I couldn’t wait until I got back to the editorial office, so I took a bite under the cherry blossoms.
The pink dango had me so excited under the sakura that I finished it before I even had time to savor it…
The middle one of the three “brothers” had a sesame flavor. The youngest was yomogi (mugwort) flavored.
Soft and chewy, these hanami dango are perfect for cherry blossom viewing♪
Since we can’t really spread out a picnic sheet and enjoy hanami at leisure right now, “hanami dango” that you can eat while walking is a nice choice.
I brought back Miyatan manju as a souvenir for the editorial office.
Miyatan manju: 110 yen
The branded mark of “Miyatan,” Nishinomiya City’s tourism character, gives it a warm and charming feel.
It’s packed with white bean paste♪
This Miyatan manju is also listed in the Nishinomiya Gift Selection.
