Fruit has started growing on the mysterious tree we found in a field in Danjocho, which we previously wrote about on Nishitsu ヽ(^o^)丿
That’s right, they’re figs!
It looks like the fruit grows directly on the tree ヽ(^o^)丿
There are so many of them (*^^)v
It seems they sell them at a small hut next to the field, and when I went there all fired up to buy some…
There was a sad sign hanging there saying, “Sold out for today” (ーー;)
I went around 7:30 that day… Come to think of it, it did say early morning… What time counts as early morning, anyway…
The figs are listed as:
4–5 pieces for 400 yen
6–9 pieces for 350 yen
Imperfect ones for 300 yen ヽ(^o^)丿
It’s nice that they’re priced lower than the figs you see at the supermarket! And they’re freshly picked, too!
They told me, “If you come at 6:30, we’ll have some,” so I gave it another try!!
Even though it was early in the morning, there were lots of people !(^^)!
The figs are lined up along the field, and you pay at the hut.
Freshly picked figs are pretty much guaranteed to be delicious, right?
They’ll apparently keep selling them until the end of September, so if you love figs, definitely check it out ヽ(^。^)ノ
