The new Yakiniku Katchan in Imazu is amazing with food arriving like Kappa Sushi’s bullet train and lemon sour taps at every table

On October 19, Yakiniku Kacchan opened in front of Imazu Station.

We heard that this place has a new way to order and pay!, so we went to check it out right away～(^_^)

I’ve reached the age where eating beef can feel a bit heavy, and I figured it was just a regular yakiniku restaurant.

So, thinking that way (sorry, Kacchan), I honestly went in with pretty normal expectations～😅

From Entering “Yakiniku Kacchan” to Paying

There were so many first-time experiences from the moment we walked in, with several “Oh wow!” moments, so let me introduce them.

Surprise Point No. 1

A touch panel right away～

Even getting seated is handled on the touch panel↓↓

STEP1　Enter the number of people
STEP2　Choose the type of seat: counter, table, or whichever is quickest
STEP3　Get your ticket

You order from your own phone (apparently it’s called mobile ordering)

No need to worry even if your phone battery is running low. Each table had an outlet.

Once you scan the QR code, the menu appears on your phone～

Even things like “water” and “changing the grill net” are ordered through your phone😀(they really go all in～)

Order complete! The total amount is displayed.

The food comes like the bullet train at Kappa Sushi

It gets you oddly excited😀

Each table has its own lemon sour server

All-you-can-drink lemon sour for 60 minutes: 500 yen

Even beer lovers may end up ordering lemon sour. Probably.

Apparently you can extend it once only, for 30 minutes at 250 yen～

It’s a very modern, cutting-edge system that thoroughly avoids person-to-person contact.

I used to think that chatting with the staff was part of the fun of dining out, but surprisingly, this was stress-free and let us focus on drinking, eating, and talking. That was actually pretty nice.

That was our Nishitsu team’s list of surprise points from trying “Yakiniku Kacchan.”

As expected from a meat shop, the meat was affordable and delicious～

Riding the wave of the 500 yen all-you-can-drink deal, I drank lemon sour for the first time in about 10 years, no, maybe 20 years😅

I went in with normal expectations, but the food came out like the bullet train at Kappa Sushi, and each table had its own lemon sour server. By the end, I left the restaurant in a seriously great mood～.
Oh, and since there are counter seats, you can also do solo yakiniku here. (I’d been hoping there was a place nearby where I could eat yakiniku alone, so I’m happy)

Besides the Imazu branch, Kacchan also has a Nishinomiya branch. There are locations in Kobe and Amagasaki too, but it seems each restaurant’s style is a little different～.
