Takeout Review: Nishinomiya Nikugekijo’s Daigekijo Don Packed with Four Kinds of Meat

We got takeout from the meat bowl specialty shop “Nishinomiya Niku Gekijo”, which relocated and reopened in December 2020 (^_^)/

“Nishinomiya Niku Gekijo”’s “Daigekijo-don”

The Daigekijo-don is their most popular bowl, topped with four kinds of meat (#^.^#)

Kalbi, harami, seseri, and pork loin are roasted just right and piled on top!

How great is it that you can enjoy not only beef, but chicken and pork all at once ヽ(^o^)丿

You can choose from all kinds of sauces and spice levels! This time we went with spicy garlic

That unique chewy texture you only get from seseri is hard to describe! The fat has rendered off nicely too!

The pork loin has a clean, light flavor, with a nice punch from the garlic in the sauce!

The harami is richly seasoned! It’s thick enough that you really get that beefy satisfaction, which is great (^^)

The kalbi has just the right amount of fat!

Every piece of meat has that indescribable fragrant, smoky flavor from being grilled over an open flame, and it fills your mouth ヽ(^o^)丿

There’s shredded cabbage tucked between the meat and the rice!

When you eat in, it’s crisp and crunchy, but for takeout it softens and blends in nicely.

You can upgrade the rice to a large or extra-large portion for free, or you can also ask for less rice (^_^)/
