It looks like the street name for the road south of Koshien Stadium and Koshien Susanoo Shrine has been decided.
(Info provided by Ueda @ Nishitsu SP)

The street name was being sought for the stretch from Koshien-suji to around the Nakatsuhama Line.

So this wasn’t actually Sakagura-dori!

Since it didn’t have a name, they were asking for street name suggestions. Then, at the “Koshien Matsuri” held at Koshien Susanoo Shrine on October 19,
the name was decided↓

After a final vote, it became “Home Run Street”~~! clap clap~~~
By the way, Home Run Street also came in first in the Nishitsu survey~

A Walk Along Home Run Street
To find out where Home Run Street actually begins, we had Ueda @ Nishitsu Supporter go take a look~

This road where you can see LaLaport Koshien is Koshien-suji.

From this Koshien-suji, the road between Koshien Stadium and Koshien Plus is the starting point of Home Run Street.

This is what it looks like around Koshien Stadium.

You pass in front of Koshien Susanoo Shrine~~

Keep going a little farther~~

And you’ll find Chinese restaurant Hyakuraku~

Hansel Cafe, Aimyon’s go-to spot, is also on Home Run Street.

It seems Home Run Street ends around Tsuda, the glasses shop~

This diagonal road along Koshien Stadium is just a regular road~

The road running left and right here is the Nakatsuhama Line. Actually, Sakagura-dori goes up to this point.

So from the Nakatsuhama Line side, you turn onto this road, and from Tsuda it’s Home Run Street.

The Naming Committee. Super simple.
Finally
Route 5040 is another name for Beat Soul Shop, a power spot for high school baseball players. With Koshien Stadium, Home Run Street, and Koshien Susanoo Shrine, this road might become one of Koshien’s four major power spot streets. With such a lucky-sounding name, the area is bound to get even more lively~
*Ueda @ Nishitsu SP, thank you for the info!!
