The Lunch We Had at “Umaimonya Haru”
From the daily specials, we had the fried shrimp Haru-roll ↓ (a menu item named after the restaurant)
The shrimp was wrapped in shiso leaves, with a crisp texture and plump shrimp that went perfectly with the spicy sauce. It was delicious (*^^)v

The small side dishes that day were simmered dried daikon strips with mizuna in sesame dressing, and broccoli and shimeji mushrooms in a spicy dressing ← each dish was carefully made (*^^)v Of course, they were delicious
And then the sashimi set meal ↓
The thick-cut sashimi included yellowtail, raw octopus, sea bream, and tilefish sorry if I got any of that wrong ^^; It was so fresh and delicious that it made me want to shout, “Nihonshu!” !(^^)!

It came with the same small side dishes as the daily special. The miso soup had a rich dashi flavor and was, of course, delicious too.

The Exterior of “Umaimonya Haru”
It’s on the 3rd floor of a building on the west side of the railroad crossing south of Kotoen Station!
There’s an elevator, so getting up to the 3rd floor is easy (*^^)v

About “Umaimonya Haru”
The owner is a former rugby player with a wonderful smile (*^^)v
You just get the feeling that if this guy is making the food, of course it’s going to be good!! ..When we asked if we could take his photo, he said he’d get ready and neatly fixed his hair (#^.^#)

The restaurant’s name, “晴”, apparently comes from the name of his grandfather, who loved bringing people together and entertaining them. His grandfather’s name was Haruo (^^♪
You can also get a sense of his personality from this notice.. ↓

Final Thoughts
The name “Umaimonya” comes from the fact that they only serve delicious things (*^^)v
They post that day’s recommendations on Facebook every day.
The sign on the 1st floor said solo diners are welcome and that the pricing is clear and straightforward. It feels like there are probably lots of people who haven’t realized there’s such a delicious restaurant up on the 3rd floor!
We didn’t know about it either! Thank you to Patty from Cafe “Ondes” for telling us about it !(^^)!
Next time, I’d like to go on my own, just privately.
