Memories of Shops and Facilities That Used to Be in Nishinomiyaまとめ一覧【にしつーまとめ】

フランソア is closing on 8/31. The second floor is a cafe, and the first floor sells cakes and sweets for takeout. It’s a shop in Murokawacho, Nishinomiya. It’s been around for a really long time, and there were always so many kinds of cakes lined up. When I went inside the other day, the cake display case was already gone. The chef and his wife both seemed somehow downhearted. I was wondering why they were closing and what the circumstances were, so I sent this hoping you might go interview them one last time. It was a wonderful shop with a gentle flavor loved by so many people, and it had such a nostalgic feel. It’s truly sad.

When I was in elementary school, my family would go there for birthdays or when there was “some kind of reward” to celebrate. It was a place we rarely got to visit, so I still can’t forget how delicious the hamburger steak was.

I remember that back then, they were open until late at night. When Nishinomiya Stadium still existed, my family often went there when I was a child. They were in business for 48 years, weren’t they? Thank you for supporting our everyday lives all these years.
