Shachobi visited “酒美鶏 葛城”, located just in front of Hanshin Nishinomiya Station, right as you enter the shopping street. She tried all kinds of dishes, so this time we’ll share what it was like!

What We Ate at “酒美鶏 葛城”

Assorted 4 Kinds of Chicken Sashimi 1,830 yen (tax included)
Just look at that artistic beauty…!✨
You can fully savor the delicate flavor of fresh chicken just as it is.

Enjoy it with soy sauce, or with salt and sesame oil.

This is “sasami sashi” chicken tenderloin sashimi. A light, refreshing taste.

“Liver sashimi” with a rich, deep flavor and a smooth texture.

“Heart sashimi” with a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness.

“Gizzard sashimi” with a crunchy texture.

Fried Corn 650 yen (tax included)
The sweetness of the corn comes with a subtle aroma of pepper and aonori seaweed. It’s crisp and light, the kind of dish you can keep eating forever!
The owner, Ikuro Katsuragi, is a former Hanshin Tigers player. He was in the kitchen that day too!
Here’s what he was cooking↓
Satsuma Chiran Chicken Thigh 790 yen (tax included)
A wonderfully fragrant, smoky charcoal-grilled aroma.
The umami of the chicken goes so well with the refreshing flavor of yuzu!

Assorted Vegetable Pickles 500 yen (tax included)
These colorful vegetable pickles are perfect as a palate cleanser. Crisp and refreshing✨

Lava-Grilled Assortment for One 1,880 yen (tax included)
An assortment of thigh, breast, heart, seseri neck meat, gizzard, and yagen cartilage.
They use freshly butchered morning chicken, which keeps the meat especially fresh, flavorful, and firm!
You grill it on this lava plate!

By grilling it at high heat on the lava plate, the outside gets a fragrant sear while the inside stays packed with umami.

Enjoy it with these condiments.
From the left: yuzu salt ichimi, white shichimi, and plum salt.

Look at this! Even the juicy thigh meat keeps all its juices sealed inside!
Crisp on the outside and plump and delicious inside.

The gizzard has its distinctive bite, but your teeth still glide right through it. No matter which cut you try, the natural umami of the chicken really stands out!

This is “kokoro,” or chicken heart. So tender.

The crisp bite of yagen cartilage.

The seseri was incredibly springy and juicy.

The breast meat was so juicy, it made us wonder, “Is this really chicken breast?”
Even when grilled thoroughly for a little longer, the meat doesn’t toughen easily, and the umami stays locked in.

That’s the power of lava grilling!!

Katsuragi Pudding Special 500 yen (tax included)
Katsuragi’s special homemade frozen pudding, served like ice cream.
The rich caramel pairs with vanilla ice cream for a refreshing finish. Perfect to end the meal!
