It looks like the “Nishinomiya City Western Plant” next to the Daiei Nishinomiya store, the former Marunaka, is going to be demolished.

Apparently, it was a waste incineration plant built in Taisho 1 (1912). It has been inactive since 2012.
Demolition work on this facility is apparently going to take place. “Jinkai incineration plant” refers to things like dust and debris. In other words, light waste.

The address is 3 Hamamatsubara-cho, Nishinomiya City.
It’s a huge, rugged-looking building, so I’m sure quite a few people have wondered, “What is that place?”
It’s hard to see because the grass is so overgrown. The Western Plant. It says “Environmental Facilities Department.”
The more you look at it, the more imposing it seems.

Finally
So it was operating until around 2012. Demolition work is scheduled to take place from late October through the end of March 2025. Once it’s gone, the view around here will probably change quite a bit.
