It looks like a new book-sharing facility called “トライぶらり” is opening in Mercado Mukogawa. Rikuchi, a Nishitsu supporter, went to take a look inside.

It opens at 10:00 on October 22.
Since this facility is part of a social experiment, it looks like it will be open for a limited time until December 31.

What Is the “One-Box Bookshelf” for Book Exchange?
Apparently, you can rent your own bookshelf space for 2,000 yen per month.
It seems like a space where you can share that feeling of “This book is seriously so good!” You might be able to connect with people in person through shared interests and hobbies.
As perks, it looks like you can help mind the shop, reserve the space privately for 2 hours per month, and also display and sell your own creative works.
Rikuchi, a Nishitsu supporter, went to check on the progress about a week ago.
It was still under construction. Those individual boxes are probably the bookshelf spaces you can rent.

It looks like it’ll become a stylish space like this.
There’s something like art displayed here. Maybe anyone can write freely on it?

There will also be a read-aloud event on the 22nd.
Finally
Takasu-cho, where Mukodan is located, is apparently home to about 18,000 people. This seems to be a social experiment to see whether having a privately run library room can help ease issues like the declining birthrate, aging population, and isolation among older residents. If you love books, have some sitting at home, and sometimes feel a bit lonely, it looks like you can use the space for free until the end of November, so why not give it a try?
