Actually, Hanshin trains have 3 doors, while the Kintetsu trains that run through onto the same line have 4 doors. Since the number of doors is different, the boarding positions are different too.
Final Thoughts
Even within the same group, Hankyu trains, which have fewer through-service operations, keep the number of doors consistent, while Hanshin trains, which operate through services with three companies, have to be more flexible. Even something as simple as platform doors shows each railway company’s character, and I thought that was pretty interesting.
