Near Hankyu Kurakuenguchi Station, along Koshikiiwa-suji, there’s a shop called “RAT★RACE.”
It mainly sells American casual-style clothing and accessories, but it also produces items under its own original brand, collaborates with shops in other industries, and plans all kinds of events. It’s a shop that always seems to have something interesting going on and has been getting a lot of attention.
We visited the much-talked-about “RAT★RACE,” a shop that many celebrities have also stopped by.

“RAT★RACE” Exterior
The shop is located on Koshikiiwa-suji between Hankyu Shukugawa Station and Kurakuenguchi Station, though it’s a little closer to Kurakuenguchi.
The exterior has a very “classic American casual” feel.
The Origin of the Name “RAT★RACE”
The owner, Mr. Ogawa, apparently likes Western music, and the name “RAT★RACE” comes from the song “Rat Race” by the British band The Specials.

Inside “RAT★RACE”
This is what the inside looks like.
American casual clothes and accessories are packed tightly throughout the shop, along with some mysterious objects and signs.
It seems that many celebrities have visited, and lots of autographs were displayed as well.
Original Items from “RAT★RACE”
“RAT★RACE” also produces original items.

Apparently, they create new designs every year.

This is “RAT★RACE Coffee,” made in collaboration with “Mitsumame Coffee.”
This is a collaboration bag with custom bag specialty shop “Lachura-nunu” and leather goods specialty shop “EMA.”
There’s also a collaboration menu item with hamburger and grill restaurant “Flowers,” which we’ve introduced on Nishitsu as well.
