Introducing restaurants visited by Nishitsu’s gourmet writer
in our “Nishitsu Gourmet” series.
This time, we visited a soy sauce ramen specialty shop about a 10-minute walk from Hankyu Mondo-Yakujin Station:
“Okamoto Shoyu Noodle”
(*’ω’ノノ゙

We previously wrote about its opening, but I was so curious that I had to go check it out😁

From the outside, the shop looks small, but it’s actually long and narrow toward the back.
The interior uses lots of wood and has a bright atmosphere, so I think even women dining alone can go in without feeling nervous😊🎵

There was counter seating, plus about four tables for four people.
Now, let’s get to the food🎵

★Okamoto Shoyu Noodle Half Fried Rice Set (980 yen)
The moment I tried it, I was impressed. This is delicious!😍
The soup has a memorable chicken umami flavor, with a nice sharpness from the soy sauce. So good〜❤️
Even after drinking it all, the aftertaste is clean, so it doesn’t feel too heavy✨

The chashu included one slice each of chicken and pork belly, plus several slices of thigh meat!
It also had shredded green onion, komatsuna, and more😄
For the noodles, you can choose either “thin noodles” or “flat curly noodles” when ordering.
And they’re homemade noodles made with whole wheat flour!
↓Here’s the half fried rice that comes with the set.

The moment you eat it, the rich flavor of the meat spreads through your mouth☺️
The seasoning is bold, so people may have clear likes and dislikes about it, but I absolutely loved the flavor❤️
It was a ramen shop with a nice, welcoming atmosphere where both solo women and families can feel comfortable dropping in!
If you’re curious, definitely give it a try✨
I want to go again!
Thank you for the meal!!
