Shukugawa is famous for its cherry blossoms, but right now the hydrangeas are blooming beautifully, so you can enjoy a little flower viewing too (*^^)v

This year seems to be a great year for hydrangeas, and they’re blooming especially beautifully!(^^)!
The part everyone thinks is the hydrangea flower is actually called the “gaku” (sepal), and the real flowers are the tiny blooms in the center.
The hydrangea in the lower left of the photo above has lots of flowers blooming(*^^)vTake a close look!
The original species of hydrangea is “gaku-ajisai” (lacecap hydrangea). Its flowers look like they frame the tiny buds in the centerThe little dots in the middle become the flowers
