When you think of Nishinomiya, you think of sake. And when you think of sake, you think of Miyamizu.

Just south of National Route 43, in Kubocho, there is a stone monument marking the “Birthplace of Miyamizu.”

There are also bronze plaques here describing the history and culture of Miyamizu.

They’re a little faded and hard to read, but they explain how Miyamizu is an irreplaceable natural resource for sake brewing in Nishinomiya.
