Izakaya “Gusuku” Food
This is the “Roast Beef Bowl” (650 yen).
The “egg” was 80 yen and the “miso soup” was 70 yen, so we got those too.
You can get a large serving of rice for free (the photo shows a large serving).
There are several types of sauces for the roast beef, and this one was a Chaliapin-style sauce.
It’s a classic rice bowl with thinly sliced roast beef on top of rice, but it also has fried onions (or maybe garlic) mixed in, which adds a perfect accent.
It also comes with chopped wasabi on a separate plate, so you can enjoy changing up the flavor as you eat (be careful, it’s very spicy).
It may be a little hard to tell from the photo, but it’s quite filling, so it will definitely satisfy your appetite.
