Until August 16, a curry fair called “It’s Curry Time, Everyone!” is being held at Gardens Kitchen on the 1st floor of Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens.
Each shop is offering its own original curry menu, so I decided to take the opportunity to try one.
This time, I went to “ローストビーフ星,” a specialty shop for roast beef bowls.

What kind of original curry dish could it be?
“ローストビーフ星” Food
This is their original menu item, “Mala Roast Beef Curry (Regular)” (890 yen).
You can add a drink for +130 yen.
I took a close-up shot.
As you can see, it’s like a roast beef bowl topped with curry.
The curry has plenty of beef in it, letting you fully enjoy the rich flavor and depth of the beef.
As for the roast beef, instead of the usual sauce, it’s topped with a “mala sauce” made with Sichuan pepper.
To put it simply, it’s a sauce with the same numbing heat you’d find in mapo tofu. It’s quite spicy, but it has a strangely addictive flavor.
It was a tasty curry with a slightly unusual combination: double the beef from the beef in the curry and the roast beef, and double the heat from the curry and the mala sauce.
