Hosted by the Koshien History Museum, the “Hanshin Koshien Stadium Mound Pitching Event” will be held on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27.

This event lets participants actually throw pitches from the mound at Koshien Stadium. Normally, the participation fee is 3,000 yen for adults and 2,000 yen for children, but as part of a Nishinomiya City program, there will apparently be spots available for Nishinomiya residents to participate for free.

- 3:00 p.m.–3:45 p.m.
- 3:45 p.m.–4:30 p.m.
- 4:30 p.m.–5:15 p.m.
- 5:15 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Eligible Participants
Nishinomiya residents age 4 and older
※Each pitcher must be accompanied by one companion. Both people must be Nishinomiya residents.
※Companions may not pitch from the mound.※If both the pitcher and the companion are junior high school students or younger, they may not participate.

- Pre-event pitching practice on the field (artificial turf area)
- Pitching from the mound on the field (3 pitches per person)
- Photo opportunities on the field (artificial turf area)
- Visit to the Koshien History Museum (self-guided)
※When you step onto the mound, the stadium announcer will announce your name and your pitch speed will be measured.
※You may not take home any dirt from the field.
※Depending on field conditions due to rain or other weather, pitching from the mound may be canceled and the event may be changed to a stadium tour inside the ballpark.
※Please be sure to bring your own glove and balls (3 balls).
※You may enter the Koshien History Museum before or after the event, but those participating in the 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. sessions are asked to visit the museum before the event. Details, including available admission times, will be provided to selected participants.(Source: Nishinomiya City)
If there are more applications than available spots, participants will be selected by lottery, but since this is such a rare opportunity, why not apply?
