I visited “Sakura Chaya” near the Niomon Gate of Kanno-ji Temple \(^o^)/
This article is brought to you by “GenkiStyle,” a foot treatment clinic that supports Nishitsu.
We went there saying, “There’s a shop with such a Showa-era vibe,” but when we asked about it, we found out the building was actually built in Taisho 8!!

In front of the teahouse, there’s a wonderfully nostalgic bench-like platform that makes you want to sit downApparently, in Kansai this kind of platform is called a shogi.

Here’s what the inside looks like, plus the product lineup (^o^)/
They had nostalgic bottled Coca-Cola and ramune soda😍
It feels like you could spend a whole evening talking about just this one photo. And on the back wall, there was Yu Hayami!

The ramune and snacks sitting on the wooden table had such a nostalgic feel…
It was as if time had stopped (#^.^#)

Thumbtacks… I hadn’t seen those in ages.
The drawings were apparently made by customers.Even while we were there, several regulars stopped by for tea or enjoyed some delicious-looking oden! You could really feel how loved this place is!
The building dates back to Taisho 8, which means 1919! It was built 102 years ago,
and the mom who runs the shop took it over in Showa 33, which is 1958! 63 years ago!
It felt like getting confirmation of those memories of “I came here when I was a kid…” No wonder time flows so nostalgically here 😍
The mom is light on her feet, incredibly cheerful, and her hospitality is just wonderful \(^o^)/

This is the mom’s partner, a cat. Her name is “Paco.”
She walks around the shop, spreading comfort and smiles (#^.^#)
Here’s the location↓
The address is 4 Kabutoyama-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
The shop is closed on Thursdays.
If you ever feel like taking a nostalgic trip back to the Showa era, this might be the perfect place to visit (^^♪
