“Machichuka Old Shanghai 3-banchi” just opened right by the Hankyu Bus Uegahara bus stop, so we went to check it out (*^◯^*)

“Machichuka Old Shanghai 3-banchi” Handmade-from-the-Skin Boiled Dumplings and Black Vinegar Sweet-and-Sour Pork

We got takeout like this (*^◯^*)

Handmade-from-the-Skin Boiled Dumplings, 6 pieces ¥650 (tax included)
Look at those beautiful pleats on the dumplings… Inside the chewy wrapper is a tightly packed filling!
They’re flavorful enough even without dipping sauce.
And they have that authentic Chinese flavor!
It tasted like there were seasonings in there I’d definitely never use at home (^^)vI have no idea what they were, though ^^;
You could also add chili oil or ponzu from home if you like 👍

Black Vinegar Sweet-and-Sour Pork ¥880 (tax included)
The onion, carrot, green pepper, wood ear mushrooms, pork… every ingredient was cut into easy-to-eat pieces (*^^*)
The flavor was soaked into every bite!
The dark color comes from the black vinegar.
The tartness of the sweet vinegar only comes through gently at the very end,
so even people who aren’t big on sour flavors should be able to enjoy it.
Am I the only one who wants to pour the sweet-and-sour pork sauce over rice? ^^;

Final Thoughts
This is a place where you can enjoy authentic Chinese food from a chef who once served as head chef at a five-star hotel, all at reasonable prices.
It’s apparently a sister restaurant of “Tōōkaku” in Kurakuen.
I’m also curious about the noodles and desserts, so next time I definitely want to try those too(╹◡╹)♡
