The “Nishitsu Survey (tentative) (we might do another survey to decide this name too)” corner, where we turn “a quick question for readers + results from the previous question” into an article 👏 Updated every Friday at 8:00 p.m.
(This is a tribute project inspired by Hiratsu, which also runs surveys: Hirakata Tsushin)

“What kind of awards or certificates have you received?”

Response period: July 16 to July 21
Number of responses: 17
So, let’s get right to it.
Survey Results: “What kind of awards or certificates have you received?”
We performed telephone responses on stage, while judges in a separate room listened to the audio and evaluated us. I was nervous, but I was really happy to win.
Woman in her 40s
It was displayed at Hanshin Park, so I went to see it.
Woman in her 40s
A little before my high school graduation ceremony, I was told I had perfect attendance.
Man in his 40s
It was a picture of a bicycle I drew in elementary school. I ran out of time and submitted it unfinished, but it won a prize. I’m not good at drawing, and it wasn’t even finished, so I still wonder why that picture won. I haven’t received any awards for art since then.
Woman age 60 or older
I’m grateful that I often get chosen for things like lessons, club activities, and school events!
Teenage girl
I forget what award it was, but my name was printed in the newspaper, and the principal presented the award to me at a school assembly. The extra prize was a wall-hanging wood-carved picture.
Woman in her 40s
If I remember right, we only had to write three pages of manuscript paper, but I wrote five.
Woman in her 30s
I left home just after 5, walked a little over one ri in old terms to the station, then took the train and commuted for an hour and a half. Looking back now, maybe I could only do it because I was young?
Man age 60 or older
When I took part in a Guinness presentation for companies, there was a game where each table competed in a certain task, and our table won, lol. I understood it as meaning that if a Guinness judge was present and certified it, it could become a Guinness World Record. They said it would cost 1 million yen if you requested it. (Is it okay to say that? lol)
Man in his 50s
A poster I drew for summer vacation homework when I was in junior high was recognized in front of the whole school. I don’t remember the name of the award. I was happy to receive a certificate and 2,000 yen worth of book vouchers! I wasn’t especially good at drawing, but I liked lettering and worked hard on it, so I think that’s why.
Woman in her 30s
I don’t remember it… of course 😅
Woman age 60 or older
I think I was in fifth grade at the time. Everyone was surprised because I won it even though I wasn’t taking calligraphy lessons. I was the most surprised, lol.
Woman in her 40s
As a commemorative gift, I received an Expo commemorative medal (bronze). This was when I was in elementary school. (Now you can guess my age.)
