Apparently there’s a “below-freezing cider” vending machine at the bus stop in front of Hanshin Koshien Station, so we went to check it out!
We found out about this cider from the YouTube channel of “こころからだ ほっと,” a relaxation salon in Shukugawa Green Town that previously let us visit their shop!

Believe it or not! There’s apparently also a vending machine for this below-freezing cider in the 4F parking lot of “Frente Nishinomiya”!
Since it’s colder than the vending machines outside, it sounds like you might have a good chance of getting that freezing effect☃
We also received information that there was one at “ACTA Nishinomiya,” but actually, we searched ACTA and couldn’t find it😭
Maybe it has been replaced with a different vending machine now💦（or maybe we just couldn’t find it…）
There also seems to be one at “Kabutoyama Forest Park,” but it doesn’t appear to be operating😭
And there’s more!!
Apparently, a convenience store near Koshien Station had a below-freezing version of cola!
We haven’t confirmed this one yet, so we can’t post the location, but we’ll check when we go!
There may be other below-freezing series drinks besides cider too😊

Buying the “Below-Freezing Cider”
Here’s where the vending machine is.
It’s at the bus terminal in front of Hanshin Koshien Station, by the bus stop for Koshien-guchi.
It’s the vending machine on the far right, the one with the strong Tigers vibe.
It says “Below-Freezing Mitsuya Cider -5.0℃”!!
So we bought one👍
Before opening the cap, it looks like regular cider.
But when we opened it, maybe because we had shaken it too much, or too much time had passed（about 1 or 2 minutes）,
or maybe we just got unlucky, the first bottle was still regular cider after opening it.
There wasn’t any icy texture. It was really cold and tasty, but not what we expected…🤔

What is below-freezing cider?

According to the website, this vending machine can chill drinks to minus 5℃, and when you open the cap, a freezing phenomenon may occur!
So that means the freezing phenomenon didn’t happen with my first bottle, but it did happen with the second one!
Since it says “may occur,” maybe getting the effect is actually the rare outcome✨✨

When I opened the first bottle and it was just regular cider, I thought this whole article might be scrapped…😅 But the second bottle froze properly🙌
