It looks like they’re running some special reopening deals, and they’ve also installed a mobile, unmanned paid tasting vending machine.

Sekijuan Renovation Highlights
There are three main renovation points.
1. The walls now have a chic brick-style look
Your eyes might naturally go to all the bottles lined up, but the walls have been renovated with a chic brick-style finish.
Of course, the sake is easy to browse too～
Monitor Installed
A monitor has been installed in the middle of this premium sake area.
You can enjoy sake introduction videos, commercials, and more on it♪
Mobile Unmanned Paid Tasting Vending Machine Installed
It’s a vending machine where you can do tastings～😆😆😆It wasn’t Pepper-kun after all
It contains six kinds of sake, and believe it or not, you can taste them for just 100 yen～!! (Apparently the sake inside is changed out regularly.)
They quietly told me, “The three bottles on the left are the better deal～”.
Put in 100 yen, press the button, and out comes blessed sake～(^o^)Of course, I went for the good-value sake on the left😀
Next to each button, you’ll find the product name, brewing method, alcohol content, and more.
The NS rating is a number that shows sweetness and dryness: the more negative it is, the fruitier and sweeter the sake is, while the more positive it is, the cleaner and drier the taste.

I tried four kinds～😀The three good-value ones on the left and one from the right
The “Junmai Daiginjo Judan Jikomi” in the left zone is apparently a very rare sake. Out of about 1,500 breweries nationwide, Ozeki is the only one that brews using a 10-stage process.
Judan Jikomi has an NS -30 rating and is incredibly fruity😀. Even people who aren’t big fans of sake might find it easy to drink.
At this counter, you can also sample shochu and other drinks for 100 yen per glass.
