- There was a large hair salon around where Prela Nishinomiya is now
- The self-service udon shop was either on the floor below it or on the south side
- Farther south, there was Tomiyama Shoes
- Nichii’s bicycle parking lot
- Across the street were Mister Donut and Nichii

The address is around 4-8 Takamatsucho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.

Back then, I think disposable Utsurundesu cameras were at their peak, so it wouldn’t be strange at all if someone had casually taken a photo of the “self-service udon shop” as part of everyday life😃

Before the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, I believe there was a supermarket called Nichii where the current Hyogo Performing Arts Center now stands. Across the road on the east side of that, west of the Hankyu Imazu Line, there were a shoe store and a small arcade, and I remember there being a self-service udon shop there. It wasn’t made by a person; you could watch the machine make it in what looked like an assembly-line process. It felt almost like a large-scale vending machine.
I also asked for information on a certain message board, but so far I’ve only been able to confirm that such a shop existed, not any images of it.
I would be very grateful if you could ask people for information, as I’d love to see those nostalgic photos once again. Thank you very much.
